"I just miss that phone call every day, you know, I knew something was wrong yesterday morning when I called and she didn't call back," Greta Wheeler, a friend of Watts, told WSAZ.

Wheeler says she and Watts and have been friends for more than 20 years and have remained just as close, even after Wheeler moved away from Huntington.

"She's the most loving, caring, compassionate, loyal, honest, inspirational person you could ever meet and baby girl, called everybody baby girl," Wheeler said. "I'm going to miss hearing that because we did, we talked everyday. We were each others rock."

Wheeler says Watts cared for her friends and family more than anything.

"She's looking down on us now," Wheeler said. "God's got a good angel, that's for sure."

No charges have been filed at this time.

Interim Huntington Police Chief Hank Dial said the case will be presented to a future grand jury in Wayne County. He said that decision was made after consulting with the Wayne County prosecutor.

"At this point we have not reached the level of probable cause to make an arrest in the case, Dial told WSAZ. "Whatever the evidence brings to us as we do further testing, then we will determine if we're going to make charges at that time or present to a grand jury or neither."

Dial says that with Watts death, the potential charges they're looking at will change but not the fact that they still have to wait for evidence to make a decision.

Dial says there was more than one person inside the home at the time of the shooting.
