UPDATE: Deputies release name of woman killed in crash with coal truck

Deputies have released the name of the woman who died in a crash in Hernshaw.

Kimberly Browning Waller, 49, of Seth, passed away according to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office.

Waller was driving an SUV that crashed head-on with a coal truck Tuesday morning. It happened int he 2600 block of Lens Creek Road near Marmet.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the accident.

One person has been killed in a head-on crash.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. Tuesday in the 2600 block of Lens Creek Road in Hernshaw.

The accident involves a coal truck and an SUV.

The driver of the SUV was killed in the crash. They were the only person in the car.

The driver of the coal truck was taken to the hospital. There is no word on their condition.

The 2600 block of Lens Creek Rd. is shut down. Drivers should expect delays and find alternate ways to get around.
