UPDATE: Traffic being directed around semi rollover on U.S. 35

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE: 11/22/18 @ 11:40 A.M.

Traffic is being directed around a semi that rolled over on U.S. 35 in Putnam County.

The Winfield Volunteer Fire Department is on scene as a precaution due to a large amount of oil that has spilled from the semi that was hauling meat.

Traffic is moving slow but is not stopped.

A portion of U.S. 35 in Putnam County is shut down after a semi flipped over on its side.

The northbound lane of U.S. 35 near the Buffalo Bridge is shut down Thursday morning.

No injuries have been reported and dispatchers say authorities are directing traffic.

Dispatchers say drivers should use caution when driving near the area.
