Possible meth lab explosion sends 3 firefighters to the hospital

A possible meth lab explosion in the Wharncliffe area of Mingo County, West Virginia, sent three firefighters to the hospital for possible chemical exposure.

MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A possible meth lab explosion Friday afternoon in the Wharncliffe area sent three firefighters to the hospital, the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department says.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. along Spring Fork.

Deputies say the firefighters were taken to the hospital for possible chemical exposure.
