UPDATE: Power restored to most homes after semi accident

LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE 6/12/18 @ 12:10 p.m.
Power has been restored to a majority of the area that experienced an outage in Lewis County Monday evening into Tuesday.

A semi hauling another truck pulled the power lines down in the Firebrick area around 6:15 Monday evening.

It happened on Indian Run Road.

The Firebrick Volunteer Fire Department says the semi brought down three utility poles and three transformers.

Crews worked overnight to get it fixed.

Fire officials say they believe they have restored power to all but one or two houses.

Power is out to some residents in the Firebrick area Monday night after a tractor-trailer brought down lines, the Firebrick Volunteer Fire Department says.

It happened around 6:15 p.m. on Indian Run Road.

A Firebrick VFD firefighter says it could be as long as two days before power is restored to some people.

AEP’s website did not indicate how many people are affected.
