Road now open after a working fire in South Charleston

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ)-- UPDATE 8/11/19 @ 11:50 a.m.

Kanawha County Emergency management says Spring Hill Avenue in South Charleston has reopened after the office building in the Kanawha County school bus garage caught fire.

Officials say this will not affect bus scheduling, everything will proceed as scheduled and they will use the other building in the garage lot in the mean time.

South Charleston Fire Department says no one was injured in the fire and all the personnel paper work was recovered.

Dispatchers say Spring Hill Avenue in South Charleston is shut down after an office building in the bus garage went up in flames.

They say calls started coming in for the fire around 9:40 a.m. Sunday.

Crews are on the scene working to put out the flames.

The road is expected to be shut down until around noon.
