UPDATE 3/22/17 @ 6:15 p.m.
PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- After the latest crash on a troubled stretch of U.S. 35, officials are urging everyone to slow down.
A truck rolled over Tuesday night near the Buffalo Bridge. This accident shut the road down for hours.
The West Virginia Department of Transportation said there have been five crashes at that intersection since 2014.
Rumble strips and extra signage were put up in 2013.
As WSAZ has previously reported, before those warning signals were installed 10 trucks had rolled over in that area between 2008 to 2013.
Since drivers are given the heads up to slow down, officials say the responsibility falls on the person behind the wheel.
"Slow down and get to where you are going safely," Lt. Bill Harrison with the Putnam County Sheriff's Department said Wednesday.
