CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Several water main breaks have been reported in the Kanawha Valley Friday.
As of 11 p.m., several people are saying they have low to no water pressure.
According to a news release, West Virginia American Water is responding to the breaks, but response times will take much longer due to the amount of snow in and around Charleston.
“Our crews are working around the clock to respond to water outages, but we anticipate much longer than usual restoration times due to many roads being completely inaccessible,” said West Virginia American Water president Jeff McIntyre. “We will continue to coordinate with emergency responders and road crews to access and repair water main breaks as quickly and safely as weather conditions will allow.”
