Missing student with special needs has been found

LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE 2/7/20 @ 8:40 a.m..

Lincoln County Sheriff's dispatch and Hamlin Police confirm to WSAZ that Jacob Cooper is safe this Thursday morning.

They said he was found late Wednesday evening and is in good health.

No other details are being released.


A student with special needs is missing.

According to his mother and local officials, Jacob Cooper walked away from Lincoln County High School around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators say he was going to take his medicine when he walked out a side door.
