UPDATE | I-77 North back open after tractor-trailer fire

A tractor-trailer fire temporarily closed Interstate 77 North in Kanawha County, West Virginia.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W. Va. (WSAZ)-- UPDATE 10/10/19 @ 10:15 p.m.
Interstate 77 North is back open Thursday night after a tractor-trailer fire, our crew at the scene reports.

The incident happened near the 80-mile marker. It was reported just before 9 p.m.

The driver was not hurt.

Drivers are advised to be extra cautious in the area due to traffic congestion.

A tractor-trailer fire at the 80-mile marker of Interstate 77 has both of the northbound lanes shut down Thursday night, according to Metro 911 dispatchers.

Officials were not able to say when the highway would be back open.

There's no word on possible injuries at this time.
