UPDATE: Names released in fatal Logan County crash

UPDATE 4/5/17 @ 6 p.m.

LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two women were killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Logan County.

Logan County Sheriff Sonya Porter tells WSAZ the victims are Amanda Hodge, 37, of North Carolina and Brittany Lester, 22, of War, West Virginia.

According to the Logan County Sheriff's Department, a car was driving north on state Route 10 when the car, a Pontiac, ran a stop sign and crossed into the path of truck owned by Asplundh.

Deputies say Hodge and Lester were the passengers in the car. The driver was flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital and is said to be stable at this time.

No one in the truck was injured.

The crash happened where state Route 10 transitions from four to two lanes.

"It's a very tricky road, and a very tricky intersection. Just use caution and obey the signs," Capt. Dennis Brown with the Logan County Sheriff's Department said.

LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- More details are being released after two people died after a two-vehicle crash in Logan County Wednesday morning.

According to the Logan County Sheriff's Department, a car was driving north on Route 10 when the car ran a stop sign and crossed into the path of truck owned by Asplundh.

Two passengers inside of the Pontiac were pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheriff Sonya Porter tells WSAZ the two people that died are females.

One is 37 and another is 22.

The driver was airlifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital and is said to be stable at this time.

No one in the truck was injured.

The names of those killed have not been released at this time.

LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Deputies are on the scene of a deadly two-vehicle accident in Logan County.

Deputies tell WSAZ the accident happened on State Route 10 near Man.

Two people were killed in the crash. Another person has been flown to the hospital.

All lanes of Route 10 are closed in the area.

No other details have been released.
