Two taken to hospital after Clendenin crash

CLENDENIN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Clendenin Friday.

Around 12:40 p.m., Metro 911 dispatchers received a call about the crash. It happened in the 9800 block of Elk River Road North.

Two vehicles were involved.

Two people were taken to the hospital, but it's unclear which vehicle(s) the victims were in.

Deputies from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office responded along with the Clendenin Volunteer Fire Department.

Crews had to shut down the southbound lane for a while, but it is now back open.

We do not know how serious the injuries are. A cause has not been released either.
