FRANKFORT, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear says small business owners now qualify to apply for unemployment amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The governor announced the changes during a press briefing Wednesday.

Beshear says substitute teachers, cosmetologists, and independent contractors are also now eligible, and encourages them to do so.

Evictions from rental properties are also now prohibited for the time being.
