I-64 back open after vehicle fire in Kanawha County
The eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 shut down following a vehicle fire have been reopened.
According to dispatchers, during the traffic jam following the incident, two other cars crashed contributing to the Thanksgiving day traffic delays.
No serious injuries were reported in either accident.
The eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 are closed Thursday near the 47 mile marker because of a vehicle fire.
911 dispatchers say at least one person has been injured.
No word on the extent of their injuries.
Thanksgiving Day traffic is currently backed up all the way to the Nitro bridge.
