Woman arrested on animal cruelty charges in dog's starvation death

FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman from Fayette County was arrested on animal cruelty charges after an abandoned dog starved to death, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department says.

Candice L. Adkins, 23 of Oak Hill, was arrested during the weekend and arraigned on warrants related to the case. Investigators say the dog was left to starve to death inside a home.
