HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman is facing charges after firing off a gun near a local bar early Sunday morning.

Brittany Russell, 24, of Huntington, is charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm.

According to a criminal complaint officers were responding to a disturbance call at Remmies near 6th Street and 4th Avenue at about 3:30 a.m. when Russell fired off a round from a Glock 22 pistol.

The complaints states security from Remmies was able to get the gun away from Russell and hold her down until officers were able to place her in cuffs.

Police say the firearm was turned into evidence along with one spent casing, a magazine containing 13 .40 round bullets, one bullet separate from the magazine and a gunshot residue kit.

Russell is being held at the Western Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.
