UPDATE 5/8/19 @ 6 p.m.

A family is holding out hope for the return of one of their relatives.

Cathleen Moore, 29, was reported missing Tuesday by her family, the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said. Her family, after talking to each other and friends, realized no one has heard from Moore in nearly two weeks.

"We haven't heard anything. We're very concerned for her," Moore's uncle, Brian Siegrist, said.

Siegrist said Moore has a bad habit of losing contact with friends and family for a few days at a time, but this time her absence is unusual. She has not talked to anyone, including her young son.

"We just want her back," Siegrist said.

Deputies said Moore is 5 feet 4 and weighs about 140 pounds. She has long brown hair and green eyes. She goes by the nickname “Cat.” Investigators said Moore is known to spend time at homes along Stover Road and surrounding areas near Dunbar.

Deputies said they have heard several rumors about what may have happened, but they still have unanswered questions.

"We're wishing for the best and still hoping things turn out OK," Siegrist said.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office at 304-357-0169.

They also can be sent in by email at tips@kanawhasheriff.us, on the department’s website at www.kanawhasheriff.us or through its Facebook page.
