Tamar Slay brings basketball camp back to Huntington

HUNTINGTON, WV It's become a holiday tradition for former Marshall star Tamar Slay to come back to Huntington to conduct his annual basketball camp for young basketball players.

Slay, a former West Virginia player of the Year and a 2nd round NBA draft pick, holds his camp at the Phil Cline YMCA in Huntington to help kids who appreciate having a former NBA player teach them the ins and outs of basketball.

"I played ball for four years here (Marshall) and so i want to make sure I always come back and share my experiences and share my stories with the youth of West Virginia and kind of give the guys some motivation just to take into the new year," Slay said.

The camp continues through Friday the 28th.
