W.Va. Governor retiring as boys basketball coach

GREENBRIER COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia Governor Jim Justice has submitted his retirement as coach of the Greenbrier East boys basketball team.

Justice had been the coach of the Spartans since the 2010-11 season.

Gov. Justice submitted his retirement Thursday to Superintendent Jeff Bryant.

Greenbrier East was 103-48 in six season with Gov. Justice as the head coach.

He will remain as the head coach of the Lady Spartans girls basketball team.

Gov. Justice has been the coach of the girls team since 2000.
