UPDATE: Man Connected to Vampire Cult Pleads Guilty to Sexual Abuse

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man from eastern Kanawha County has admitted to sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl.

Thursday morning, Brian Confere pleaded guilty to 1st degree sexual abuse.

The abuse happened in the eastern Kanawha County.

Confere was sentenced to serve time at the Anthony Center in Greenbrier County for the charge.

He is also facing charges after he was arrested in Boston in September 2009.

He allegedly tried to kidnap another 12-year-old girl, who he met on-line in a vampire themed chat room.

He is facing child endangerment charges in connection with that case.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A young man from eastern Kanawha County accused of sexually assaulting an 11 year old in our region now faces new charges in Boston.

Bryan Confere was in court Wednesday in Massachusetts to answer to charges that he tried to entice a 12-year old girl and child endangerment.

Police say Confers was traveling with a 16 year old girl who was a runaway. They were in Boston to pick up another girl who is only 12.
They met in a chatroom at GothChatCity.com. When his car broke down, his plan was foiled.
Neighbors found the 16 year old girl walking around in a daze.

When they confronted her, she started crying and said she needed to get away from him.

Confere, 20, is from Diamond, W.Va., and was out on bond after being charged with sexually abusing an 11 year old girl in Kanawha County.
