Teen Taken into Custody in Capital High Rape Case

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A 17-year-old boy at the center of the rape case at Capital High School was taken into custody Friday evening, Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies say.

An arrest warrant had been issued earlier Friday.

At that time, Kanawha County Prosecutors confirmed that bond for Dallas King has been revoked and that a bench warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Details of the warrant and case information are not being released at this time because King is a minor.

King was arraigned Friday evening in Kanawha County Magistrate Court. Because of his juvenile status, no details were released.

In March, King admitted in court that he forced a 15-year-old girl to have sex with him at Capital High School on Jan. 26. He pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual abuse.

At the beginning of the month, King's attorney filed a motion saying that he wanted to withdraw the guilty plea.

The motion claimed that King's counsel was incompetent and that the defendant and his mother had concerns before and after the plea agreement was made.
