LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An overnight fire destroyed a business in Lincoln County and leaves the owners emotionally drained and without their way of life.
Fire officials are still looking into what caused the fire in the first place.
Meanwhile, the business owners of "KARS Garage", said they're just grateful no one was hurt.
The building is burned to a crisp and investigators said it also has heat and water damage.
They estimate the losses go into the tens of thousands of dollars.
Duval Volunteer Fire officials said they responded to the burning garage around 1 a.m. Thursday.
Inside, they found burning cars, burning tools and other items.
They also said the heat was so intense, it also put a crack in the front of the building.
The owners of the business are now evaluating the damage, while holding back emotions as they tally up what they've lost.
"We've been broken into twice, but they didn't take anything really to amount to anything, now this one hurts," said Lee Woodrum, a business co-owner.
The business owners said beyond the tools and cars, there's an even bigger loss. It was a business they intended on passing down through the family.
Now, they said, they don't know what they're going to do.
Fire officials said the heat caused so much damage, the building will more than likely be torn down.
The business owners said they've lost more than $20,000 in equipment and belongings.
