UPDATE: Names Released in Deadly Crash; 17-Year-Old Girl Killed

BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- More information, including the names of those involved, has been released in a deadly three-vehicle crash that happened Thursday night on U.S. 60 near the intersection of Ky. 5, according to information from Kentucky State Police.

Alexandra "Paige" Bush, 17, of Grayson, Ky., was ejected from a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer and pronounced dead at the scene. She was a senior at East Carter High School where classmates were trying to cope with her death.

Bush was a passenger in the Blazer. The driver and another passenger in the Blazer were taken to St. Mary's Medical Center with serious injuries. Carmel Maggard, 41, of Grayson, was listed in critical condition on Friday. Bush and Maggard were not wearing seatbelts, troopers said.

Two people in another vehicle also were taken to St. Mary's Medical Center with serious but not life-threatening injuries. They were wearing seatbelts.

Two other people involved in the accident were treated and released from King's Daughters Medical Center.

The crash happened just before 6 p.m. Thursday.

Troopers say the accident happened when a westbound car on U.S. 60 crosses the center line and struck the Blazer. The collision caused the Blazer to strike a barrier wall and crossed into the westbound lane of U.S. 60. The Blazer overturned and was struck by another car.

The crash remains under investigation.

BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- U.S. Route 60 has reopened in Cannonsburg after a deadly crash.

The accident happened just before 6 p.m.

Kentucky State Police tell WSAZ.com three vehicles were involved.

One person died at the scene.

Several others were taken to the hospital.

No names or conditions have been released.

Reconstruction crews were called to determine a cause of the crash.

The road was closed in both directions for several hours but is back open.

BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- 911 dispatchers in Boyd County, Kentucky say at least one person has died in a crash on US Route 60 West.

Dispatchers say the accident happened just before 6 p.m. in the Cannonsburg area.

Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com one person has died in the accident and four others are being flown to hospitals for their injuries.

Possibly four vehicles are believed to be involved in the crash.

Route 60 will be shut down for an extended period of time.
