UPDATE: Cora shooting suspect charged with first degree murder

CORA, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A Logan County man, accused of shooting and killing another man in Cora Alley, is facing first degree murder charges.

Marvin Tolliver, 25, of Holden is accused of killing Tyrone "TJ" Miller, 38, of Cora.

Tolliver was arraigned Saturday night. The magistrate did not set a bond.

Tolliver is lodged in Southwestern Regional Jail.

CORA, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A Logan County man is in custody, accused of shooting and killing another man in the front yard of a home on Saturday afternoon.

Troopers say Tyrone “TJ” Miller, 38, was shot in the head. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Marvin Tolliver, 25, from Holden, was arrested and charged with murder. According to troopers, Tolliver confessed to shooting Miller, but didn’t give a reason.

Tolliver was booked in the Southwestern Regional Jail.



ORIGINAL STORY
CORA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia State Police are on the scene of a homicide in the Logan County community of Cora.

It happened Saturday afternoon in the front yard of a home.

According to Troopers, one man is dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

One suspect is in custody.

State Police tell WSAZ that they are still investigating what happened.
