Storms hit the Crown City area hard

CROWN CITY, Ohio (WSAZ) - Crown City in Gallia County was among the hardest-hit areas in southeastern Ohio by Tuesday’s severe storms.

Our crew at the scene encountered several downed trees and debris strewn about, including a trampoline flung into the side of a building. They also saw crushed outbuildings.

That damage was in an area along state Route 7 near the Gallia/Lawrence County line.

One elementary student told us she’s normally not afraid of storms -- until Tuesday’s blew through.

Damage also was reported in other parts of Lawrence County.
