The Winchester to close after 6 years

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) - Owners of The Winchester in Ashland announced yesterday on Facebook that the steakhouse would be closing after six years.

In a Facebook post, John Vorndran and Jimmy Blake, said, “After six wonderful years, The Winchester will be closing its doors. This chapter has been nothing short of extraordinary - filled with unforgettable nights, celebrations, shared meals, and the friendships that grew around our tables. We are endlessly grateful to each and every one of you who made The Winchester more than just a restaurant.”

Vorndran and Blake said a new restaurant will be moving into the steakhouse’s space.

Customers who have a gift card for the steakhouse are urged to use it by Aug. 1, Vorndran and Blake said.

They said after that deadline remaining gift card balances will be honored at Smokin’ J’s locations.
