HURRICANE, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The city of Hurricane held their annual ‘Pumpkin Carving Extravaganza’ at City Park on October 25.

500 free pumpkins were given to families, along with free carving tools. They then competed with their carvings over four different age categories.

Afterwards the city held its annual Inflatable Costume Race.

“Bunch of crazy people adults and kids alike; and they race and just have fun; and they look silly as can be,” said Scott Edwards, the Mayor of Hurricane.

Free hot cocoa was also provided at the ‘Pumpkin Carving Extravaganza’.
