Alena Noakes
Anchor/Reporter
Louisville, Ky.
Alena Noakes joined WDRB+WAVE in January 2024 as a multimedia journalist.
She was a lifelong Louisianian – until now. Alena worked as an anchor and reporter for three years at WDRB+WAVE’s sister-station, KALB, in Alexandria, Louisiana. While at KALB, she led state political coverage, followed cases through the system in both district and federal court and conducted long-form investigations. She also filmed from the sidelines on Friday nights for the station’s football coverage in the Fall. She hopes to carry that experience over to her role at WDRB+WAVE and tell stories that matter to viewers throughout Kentucky and Indiana.
When she’s not in front of the camera, Alena is freelancing as a sports photographer from the baseline, the sidelines or courtside (she’s not choosy). But every fan has a favorite, so you can find her rooting on the LSU Tigers every spring.
