UPDATE 10/17/17 @ 12:25 p.m.

An industrial company announced Tuesday that it will locate its plant in a different location in Greenup County than originally announced.

Braidy Industries will locate its aluminum mill to the East Park Side B at Industrial Parkway, Greenup County Judge Executive Robert "Bobby" Carpenter says.

That is located at the Greenup/Boyd County line. The plant will be partially in Greenup County and partially in Boyd County. It is a nearly $1.3 billion investment.

The company said it couldn't put the plant on the original property in South Shore, Kentucky.

The project is still expected to bring the same number of jobs and will be maintained on a similar construction schedule.
