Fmr. Secretary of State to face off against fmr. State Senator in Commission race

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Former Secretary of State Natalie Tennant has secured the Democratic nomination for Kanawha County Commission.

County Commissioner Kent Carper was also on the ballot but recently announced his retirement. He said even if he got the votes to win he would decline the job due to some health issues.

On the Republican side of the race Tennant will face off against former State Senator Chris Walters in November.
