BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A political candidate who was bitten by copperhead snakes earlier this month is on the mend.
Doug Skaff said he is out of the hospital and getting his strength back.
Skaff, who was a candidate for West Virginia Secretary of State, was taking down his political signs near U.S. 119 in Danville when he was bitten on the foot and leg almost two weeks ago.
Skaff told WSAZ Wednesday that he can put weight on the foot and take a few steps, but he’s still trying to take it easy and not overdo it.
