Wanted man from Illinois last seen in eastern Ky.
LOUISA, Ky. (WSAZ) - Police need your help finding a man from Illinois said to “have violent tendencies.”
William George Simmons, 31, was last seen in the Louisa area of eastern Kentucky. Louisa Police said Wednesday that Simmons is wanted in Illinois.
Simmons is described as 5 feet 8 with brown eyes and black hair. He weighs about 210 pounds.
Police say he has multiple facial tattoos.
Williams was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants with a red stripe.
Louisa Police say they were able to confirm that Simmons had been staying at a woman’s apartment for a few days near Lock Avenue, but he had already taken off by the time police got there.
Louisa Police say Simmons does have a criminal history, and officers want the public to remain alert if anyone happens to see him.
”It does obviously make the community not feel more at ease with it, given that his charges from Illinois don’t seem like your standard day-to-day charges, more home invasion and such, so we want to just warn everybody he may have violent tendencies and so forth,” said Louisa Police Patrolman Teddy Newsome.
The Louisa Police Chief says they received a report that someone in the community thought they saw Simmons get into a van taxi Wednesday evening, so it is not clear where Simmons could be at this time. He may still be within city limits, or he may be somewhere else already.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call their local 911 agency.
